Mon nom est Micheline B. Lambert, je suis une victime des implants mammaires. J'ai eu ces implants en 1979. Suite à ma première opération, j'ai commencé à être malade. En 1981, un (1) implant a dû être changé, en 1982 l'implant du même côté

a dû être changé à deux reprises. En 1987, j'ai définitivement pris la décision de me les faire enlever. Depuis ce temps, je suis toujours malade.

Quand le tout a commencé, le médecin m'a dit que tout irait bien et que les implants seraient garantis à vie ! Quand il changea mes implants en 1981, il ne m'a jamais dit que quelque chose n'allait pas avec les implants. La même chose se reproduit la seconde ainsi que la troisième fois. Quand je les ai fait enlever, le même médecin a fait une erreur et alla trop loin avec son bistouri et coupa des nerfs dans mon côté droit !

Depuis ce temps, j'ai l'impression d'avoir le feu dans mon corps. Je dois constamment visiter mon anesthésiste pour recevoir des injections dans mon côté droit ainsi que dans mon dos. Je dois recevoir des injections à tous les deux semaines, si je veux être confortable.

En 1981, avant que l'implant soit changé, j'ai eu une mammographie et le résultat fut que l'implant s'était rupturé, alors le gel de silicone s'était infiltré dans mon ganglion du côté droit. J'ai dû être opérée pour enlever le ganglion infecté. Mon bras droit était comme paralysé.

Pendant ces années, à cause des injections que je recevais, parce que j'ai bougé, par deux fois le médecin est allé trop loin avec l'aiguille et j'ai eu le poumon droit perforé. J'ai dû être hospitalisée pour remédier à ce problème.

Je suis toujours fatiguée, je ne dors pas très bien, tous mes os me font souffrir. Je ne peux pas manger, quoique ce soit sans qu'il y ait rejet dû à la douleur. Ceci dure depuis la pose de mes implants. C'est ma vie, mon cauchemar.

Aujourd'hui, j'aide d'autres femmes qui vivent les mêmes problèmes que moi. J'ai un groupe de femmes à qui je fournis des informations sur les problèmes des implants mammaires. Je suis à leur écoute et les dirige, au besoin, vers un bon spécialiste.

À vous tous, mes amis (es), je voudrais vous dire merci pour votre support.

À tous mes frères et sœurs, du monde entier qui sont souffrants à cause de ces implants, je dis ceci :

''Avec la force que Dieu me donne, je vais continuer de me battre jusqu'à ce que mon propre Gouvernement Canadien reconnaisse que j'ai été intoxiquée par la silicone.''

Pour ce faire, j'ai besoin de support, un simple mot d'encouragement de votre part, me fera comprendre que je ne suis pas seule, dans ce monde, à me battre pour cette cause.

En s'unissant, nous serons plus forts et à la fin nous gagnerons.

Même si je suis loin de vous, je pense à vous tous, qui vivez les mêmes problèmes que moi.

My name is Micheline B. Lambert, I am a victim of breast implants, I had those implants put in me in 1979. Right after the first operation I started to feel sick. In 1981 one (1) of the implant had to be changed, in 1982 the same one had to be changed twice. In 1987 I finally got them taken out. Since that time I have been feeling sick.

When it all started the doctor told me that everything was going to be fine, and that the implants were guaranteed for life. When he changed my implant in 1981 he never told me that something was wrong with the implants, even the second time, and not even the third time. When I had them removed the same doctor made a mistake and went too far with his instrument and cut some nerves in my right side. Since then I have been suffering with burning pain in my body. I have been visiting another doctor to get injections in my back and right side. I have to receive injections every two weeks.

In 1981, before the implant was changed, I had a mammography and the result was that silicon merged from the implant and I ended having an operation in my right side to take a ganglion out in emergency. My right arm felt like it was paralyzed.

During those years due to the injections that I was receiving, twice the doctor went too far with the needle and I ended with my right lung perforated I had to be hospitalized twice to control that problem.

I am always tired, I can't sleep very well, all my bones give me pain, I can't eat anything without vomiting It as been the same for years.

Today I am helping other women to live with about the same kind of life than me. I have a group of women to whom I supply information on the'' breast implants'' problems.

To all my sisters and brothers around the world that are suffering from implants desease I say to them:

"With the strenght that God is giving me, I will keep on fighting until my own Canadian government admits that I have been intoxicated by silicon''.
