I have so much concern for all BI women, most of us DO NOT KNOW SO

THEREFORE DO NOT KNOW TO ASK.....I truly think every BI woman who is still having problems after explantation should ask her physician to draw a Serum Protein Electrophoresis and insist on it. The incidence of monoclonal gammopathy of undertermined significance and multiple myeloma is just now coming to light since so many women are being explanted due to problems. Who would think to even ask for the test? This may be one of those HIDDEN ISSUES that needs to be looked at NOW while there is such a fine web site as yours to disseminate the information to all women. Also, every woman should request the physician to ask the lab reporting the results to please report ANY ABNORMALITY, NOT JUST THOSE DIRECTLY ATTRIBUTABLE TO MGUS OR MM.

If this forum just reaches one woman who was unaware, it has been worthwhile.
