Disabled Canadians being discriminated against by Canadian Federal Government.
Petition RE: Canadian Disability Tax Credit & CPP disability Pensions being taxed.
I am going to be setting up a petition to send to a law firm for disabled canadian people.
I am looking for all disabled people who are against the disability pension being considered income and therefor being taxed as such.
The poverty level of income we receive from CPP disability should be exempt as far as paying taxes one reason is simply because this money has already been taxed and they are doing a double taxing. The second reason is that the maximum payment is only 900.00 per month, with the majority of disabled canadians making 600 to 700 per month this is the Government who claims they feel for disabled canadians. All disabled canadians live in poverty and this is unacceptable and should be challenged all the way to the supreme court if neccessary. We as disabled canadians should have the right to live with some financial comfort and not feel intimidated and scared about where our next meal will come from or how we simply will live as this stress alone causes our health to deteriorate.
Disabled people are being discriminated against as far as the disability tax credit the blind who I have no problem with at all are in most cases granted this credit, myself as a MS patient are denied as are many thousands of other people with different illnesses.
A 100,000 disabled canadians were forced to reapply for the tax credit due to the liberal government wanting this already hard process to be eligible for the tax credit to be even harder to get which resulted in 45,000 disabled canadians being denied the tax credit.
Anyone who wants to challenge the Government on The Disability pension being taxed please email me with name and address and phone number and type of disability and the amount of money you receive from CPP disability.
Anyone who wants to challenge the government on the disability tax credit discriminating against most disabled people please send me the same info.
I think if the Canadian Government exempted the CPP benefit from being taxed we wouldn't have the need in those cases to have to apply for the Tax credit which is right now a 6100.00 tax credit.
I feel the Government having two different versions of severe and prolonged is also discrimination against the disabled, Canada pension and Revenue Canada have two different standards for severe and prolonged and this needs to be challenged also.
