One is The Implant Awareness Society, a society registered in Victoria and Ottawa that offers tax-credit receipts on any donation over $1.00. We are the only ones to have both registrations in the province of British Columbia. We need your help. At present we operate out of our home and out of our members pockets; 3/4 of our members are on assistance and therefore live on $550.00 a month.

We are not, and I must emphasize NOT, part of BC Woman's Breast Centre that is funded by the Government. They have a panel of women, two plastic surgeons, and other doctors as well. They do not promote, yet do not discourage, saline implants for obvious reasons. One being, and they personally told me, that it is a very personal choice that a woman keep her implants or gets the saline or the soy oil one.

Our society feels: YES, IT IS THE MOST PERSONAL CHOICE OF THE WOMAN'S LIFE. IT CAN MEAN HER VERY LIFE ITSELF.

The Breast Centre personally knows most of the sick woman that I know, and many more, and have many very sad stories. However, they remain fast in that, "it is a personal choice".

We differ also in yearly routine mammograms. Canada Health says no mammograms for implanted women, only ultrasound. Implants almost always hide what you need to see because they are opaque to x-rays. The mammogram can break or weaken the implant.

Almost all of our members have had explantation of silicone and saline implants. As you have heard me say, there is yet to be an implant approved by the FDA or Health Canada, both of these regulatory bodies have been waiting for the manufacturers to prove safety. Silicone was declared unsafe and withdrawn, saline's proof is 10 years overdue. The manufacturers and plastic surgeons fight to keep them on the market.

The surgeons can see the diseased cavity an implant leaves behind, especially if he removes the toxic capsule when he removes the implant. The body forms a capsule around the implanted saline, silicone, or soy oil implant and it is essential that it is also removed. Every woman needs to ensure the doctor agrees to do so in writing before explantation or she will not get better. If the capsule is not removed it drops to the bottom of the breast and goes into a hard golf-ball or marble shape, depending on it’s size.

We have a well-known plastic surgeon in Vancouver that slips the implant out and insists that, as your body made the capsule, why take it out. Well the most work is in taking out the capsule. The implant and capsule should be taken out in one piece so that there is less spillage into the cavity..

If the capsule is not removed, the woman must go to another doctor for capsule removal.

This is what causes psychological damage. The hard sore golf ball in the bottom of the breast, surgery twice on the medical, loss of work, and losing faith in doctors when you finally learn how this esteemed surgeon treated you. We know of two women that this happened to.

I have personally met a plastic surgeon who told a group of about 30 of us here in Vancouver british Columbia that he had implanted about 2,000 women. When he began explanting some who became ill, he saw for himself the diseased breast cavity left behind. He asked himself what is wrong here?. What is this oil? Where does it come from?

What does it do when it gets there? Something was definitely going WRONG with the implanted women.

What is wrong with the other doctors that they deny what they see and logic tells them not to believe the manufacturer's promotional information.

So he went to the FDA and he took pictures to show them. He talked to other doctors. NOW I ASK YOU, IF HE COULD DO THIS YEARS AGO, WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR LOCAL DOCTORS. We have hundreds of implanted women here in B.C., many very ill, that have to beg for explantation with implants many years over the expiry date of 7 years (that's the implant's lifetime folks).

Did you know there are thousands of plastic surgeons that are suing Dow Corning for billions. They call themselves the SILENT VICTIMS. I would have thought the silent victims were the poor women who have already died. Actually, it helps us. Here are the plastic surgeons who have been well paid by the silicone victims for surgery and

many visits. They still have their grand homes, cars and boats, and most of all their families. Many sick women have been abandoned and even lost their children, I have met them.

These silent victims are saying Dow Corning lied to us, they were negligent in there tests, they misrepresented tests, they even committed fraud, concealment, conspiracy, and on and on.

Are our local doctors in B.C. too arrogant or blind or both? Most deny all. You decide.

You cannot be sure what these Plastic Surgeons are putting in your body.

Many women were told they had saline, on explantation they were found to be silicone, or vice versa.

About 25% of the women got one of each. They did not know until years later when they were explanted. WE ASK WHY? Their medical records were different to what they actually were found to have. Some even got 2 different sizes. This was proven when the implants were examined after explantation by accredited experts in their field.

Could it be that the absent-minded doctor could not remember what he stitched into the patient a few minutes earlier? Was he clearing stock at a reduced price from the salesman? (Because that is where he got them, not out of a hospital stock room.)

Now, for what some women did not know when they were implanted with "saline" implants.

TAP WATER was used to fill some implants, and they contained steroids and iodine.

Proven contents on explantation. If you are considering saline, you just may want to talk to someone who got this.

Did these doctors think they would never be found out, as the one in Alberta was on the woman’s explantation?

Can you now see why we have lost faith in the doctors. All this denial, there seems to be no end to it. Then they say to the sick women, with a cruel and peculiar type of thinking, you got these implants because "you are suffering from low self-esteem."

What does it matter why she got them IN THE FIRST PLACE. Cancer, car accident, fibroid cysts, cosmetic. That is ALL irrelevant when she is poisoned from them and the doctor contributed to her pain by recommending these implants.

Then the lawyers get attacked. Look at all the money these people are getting. Well most of them have yet to get anything. The Dow lawyers are cashing in big time. That is why all the professional stall tactics are being used.

THE DOCTORS DO NOT FOOL US ANYMORE. THEY HAVE BEEN EXPOSED FOR WHAT THEY DO TO US when they will not give us the truth that is published in their medical journals.

The list of victims is growing with saline and the deadly soy oil. With an oil implant, you would be adding a dangerous culture medium to the silicone shell, because an organic oil will support infectious growth even more quickly than silicone or saline solution.

It is well documented that oils will absorb calcium and become soap-like. It is instant death if a bubble reaches the brain.

I am saddened greatly to tell you again and again THERE IS NO SAFE OR APPROVED BREAST IMPLANT OUT THERE AS YET. EVERY BREAST, EVEN A DISEASED BREAST, WILL REMAIN HEALTHIER WITHOUT AN IMPLANT.

One doctor we sick women met stated in his book, "This will go down in history as the single leading heinous crime against women and children".

We also know that if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.
